Powerhouse
Powerhouse is a compilation from Deep Purple, put out on Purple Records on 9 November 1977. It gathers previously unreleased live and studio tracks from the Mark II line-up, the band at the height of its powers, and it is filed under hard rock and heavy metal.
It arrived after the band's 1970s run of studio albums had ended with Come Taste the Band in 1975, so it works as a look back at the Mark II era through material fans hadn't yet heard. It earned a Gold certification in Japan. If you love the sound of that line-up and want rarities alongside the familiar records, this is a good one to track down.
