Album
Love Gun
Love Gun is the sixth studio album by the American hard rock band KISS, released on 17 June 1977 through Casablanca Record and FilmWorks. It followed Rock and Roll Over and arrived with a million copies shipped on the day it came out. It went platinum and gave the band their first top five album on the Billboard 200.
It also marks a first for the group: Ace Frehley takes a lead vocal on a KISS studio album for the first time, so all four members now sing lead somewhere in the band's catalogue. That makes it a useful snapshot of the classic line-up at full strength, with a sound that sits between hard rock, glam and heavy metal. The record was remastered in 1997 and again in 2014, so it is easy to find in a polished form.
