Creatures of the Night
Creatures of the Night is the tenth studio album by American rock band Kiss, released on 25 October 1982. It was their last record for Casablanca Records, the only label they had known up to that point, and it carries a dedication to Neil Bogart, the label's founder and an early supporter of the band, who died of cancer while the album was being made.
It is a record of endings and beginnings. Ace Frehley is credited as an official member for the last time, while Vinnie Vincent makes his first appearance as lead guitarist, initially without a credit. His name was added on the 1985 reissue, though he still isn't on the cover. It was also the last Kiss album with the band in their trademark makeup until Psycho Circus in 1998, which makes it a useful marker of where one chapter closed.
