Dynasty is the seventh studio album by the American band KISS, released on 23 May 1979 through Casablanca Record and FilmWorks. Vini Poncia produced it, and it marked a clear change of direction. The band set aside much of their usual hard rock attack and brought in pop and disco influences, a move that split critics at the time.

It is a record with a curious place in the KISS story. Peter Criss, a founding member, plays on only one track, "Dirty Livin'", which was his last recording with the band until Psycho Circus in 1998. The album still sold well, going platinum in five countries, though the "Return of Kiss" tour that followed saw attendance fall noticeably. It's worth hearing as a snapshot of a band stretching their sound, for better or worse, at a turning point in their career.
