Album
The Painful Truth
The Painful Truth is the seventh studio album by Skunk Anansie, released on 23 May 2025 through FLG Records. It sits in the alternative rock bracket the band have worked in since the mid-1990s, and it follows Anarchytecture from 2016.
For anyone who first met the band through Paranoid & Sunburnt, Stoosh or Post Orgasmic Chill, it is the next chapter in a story that paused and restarted with Wonderlustre in 2010 and Black Traffic in 2012. Seven albums in, it is a fine place to catch up with where they are now. Riffology has reviewed it too, awarding it 92 out of 100.
