Post Orgasmic Chill
Post Orgasmic Chill is the third studio album by British rock band Skunk Anansie, released in March 1999 on Virgin. It follows Paranoid & Sunburnt and Stoosh, and it marks a clear change of direction. Where those records drew on punk rock and alternative rock, this one moves towards a harder sound, with hard rock and alternative metal in the mix.
There are two sleeves to look out for. The European cover shows the band lounging in an oceanside apartment, while the American one has them standing on the Atlantic City boardwalk. The album was also the last the group made for eleven years, until Wonderlustre arrived in 2010. A two-disc 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition appeared in 2024, which makes it a good moment to revisit the band at their heaviest.
