Make Them Die Slowly is White Zombie's second studio album, released on 22 March 1989 through Caroline Records. The title comes from the American release name of the 1981 horror film Cannibal Ferox, a fitting source for a band so fond of B-movie gore. Collectors may enjoy a small oddity: the CD's side misprints the title as "Let Them Die Slowly".

It sits at a turning point in the band's story. Their earlier work leaned on noise rock, but here they moved towards heavy metal, a direction that shaped much of what followed. Bill Laswell, a composer, produced the record, and John Ricci plays guitar. If you know White Zombie mainly from La Sexorcisto and Astro-Creep: 2000, this is the place to hear how that heavier sound began to take hold.
