The Dirt Soundtrack
The Dirt Soundtrack accompanies the 2019 biographical film about Mötley Crüe, which is based on the band's book The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band, written with Neil Strauss. It came out on 22 March 2019 through Eleven Seven Music, on CD, LP and digital formats, and counts as the band's tenth compilation.
For the Crüe's story, it matters as their first release in more than a decade, following the 2009 Greatest Hits collection. It arrives long after their last studio album, Saints of Los Angeles, from 2008. If you're a fan who knew the band through the hard rock of the 1980s, this works as a companion to the film and a reminder of the group's place in that world.
