Greate$t Hit$
Greate$t Hit$ is Mötley Crüe's second compilation, an updated take on their 1991 collection Decade of Decadence 81–91, which has since gone out of print. The cover carries a caricature of the band by artist and designer Erik Casillas, a fittingly cartoonish look for a group who never played down the excess.
It arrived in 1998, after the band had added Mötley Crüe in 1994 and Generation Swine in 1997 to a run of studio albums that began with Too Fast for Love in 1981. For anyone wanting the hard rock side of the Crüe story on one disc, it is a handy way in. A reissue on Eleven Seven Music followed on 17 November 2009, with a different track listing.
