Saints of Los Angeles
Saints of Los Angeles is the ninth studio album by Mötley Crüe, released on 24 June 2008 through Mötley Records and Eleven Seven Music. It followed New Tattoo in 2000 and was the first full-length studio record to feature the original line-up since Generation Swine in 1997, thanks to drummer Tommy Lee's return. It would also be the last album to include guitarist Mick Mars, who left the band in 2022, and the last before the group first split in 2015.
Rooted in heavy metal and hard rock, the album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard chart, selling about 100,000 copies in its first week. It also reached number 3 in Canada and number 5 in Sweden. The title track was the lead single and climbed to number 5 on the US mainstream rock chart, their second-highest placing there. After this record the band focused on singles rather than albums, which gives it added weight as the final chapter of their studio story.
