The Black Parade Is Dead!
The Black Parade Is Dead! is a live album and DVD from My Chemical Romance, released on 27 June 2008 through Reprise Records. It draws on the Black Parade World Tour, which supported their third studio album, The Black Parade (2006). The first part captures the band's finale as their "Black Parade" alter egos at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, where they play that album and nothing else.
The second part comes from a later show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey, with a looser setlist that mixes songs from The Black Parade with earlier material. It also includes a previously unreleased song, which Gerard Way later named "Someone Out There Loves You". Reviewers were largely positive and saw it as a good one for fans, though some felt the concept was overdone and the live versions fell short of the studio record. It went gold in the US, UK and New Zealand.
