Life on the Murder Scene
Life on the Murder Scene is a live and compilation release from the American rock band My Chemical Romance, issued on 21 March 2006 through Reprise Records. It comes as a three-disc set: two DVDs and one CD. Together they gather live recordings, a documentary telling the band's story up to that point, two demo tracks and "Desert Song", a song that had not been released before.
It arrived between Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade, so it works as a snapshot of the band at the end of their early chapter. Critics were mixed on it, but fans took to it. It reached number one on the UK Rock & Metal chart, made the top ten in several other countries, and has been certified 2× platinum in the US as well as gold in the UK. For anyone who wants to see how the band got there, the documentary is the draw.
