Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac's 1975 self-titled record is the band's tenth studio album, and the second to carry their name after their 1968 debut. Fans sometimes call it the White Album. It came out on 11 July 1975 on Reprise Records, and it marks the arrival of Lindsey Buckingham on guitar and Stevie Nicks on vocals following Bob Welch's departure in late 1974.
The new line-up brought a bright, melodic mix of pop rock, soft rock and folk rock, with acoustic textures running through it. "Over My Head", "Rhiannon" and "Say You Love Me" all reached the US top twenty, and "Landslide" has since earned a place on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs. The album climbed to number one in America in September 1976 and went nine times platinum there. It also set up the run of British chart-toppers that began with Rumours.
