Penguin

Penguin is the seventh studio album by Fleetwood Mac, the British-American rock band, and it came out on 25 May 1973 on Reprise Records. It was the first record after Danny Kirwan's departure, and the first to feature Bob Weston. It is also the only Fleetwood Mac album with Dave Walker in the line-up, which makes it a one-off in the band's long catalogue.

The title nods to the band's mascot, a penguin, a bird John McVie adored. His fascination began when he lived near London Zoo in the early days of his marriage to Christine McVie, and he spent hours there watching the penguins as a member of the Zoological Society. Placed between Bare Trees and Mystery to Me, the album captures Fleetwood Mac in transition, years before the Rumours era, and is a worthwhile stop for anyone tracing how the group changed.
