Koi no Yokan
Koi No Yokan is the seventh studio album by American alternative metal band Deftones, released on 12 November 2012 through Reprise Records. The title comes from a Japanese phrase meaning "premonition of love". Nick Raskulinecz produced it, as he had the band's previous record, and he would not work with them again until private music in 2025. The sound sits across alternative metal, post-metal, shoegaze and dream pop.
It arrived two years after Diamond Eyes and before Gore, and critics received it with widespread acclaim. It entered the Billboard 200 at No. 11 and reached No. 5 on the Top Rock Albums chart, selling an estimated 65,000 copies in its first week. For anyone who loves the band's heavier side but is drawn to its softer, hazier textures, this is a record that rewards close listening.
