Live at Hull 1970 captures the Who at Hull City Hall on 15 February 1970, the night after the concert that gave us Live at Leeds. Bob Pridden recorded the show with the Pye Mobile Unit, and it was released by Polydor on 6 November 2012, finally letting the Hull performance stand alongside its better-known neighbour.

The tapes had a flaw: on a few songs the bass sound was badly recorded or lost to technical problems. The fix was to take the bass track from the Leeds performance the night before and match it to the Hull show, so the concert could be heard in full. For anyone who loves the Who in their early-1970s live prime, between Tommy and Who's Next, it offers a second look at a band on formidable form.
