Album
Perfect Strangers
Perfect Strangers is Deep Purple's eleventh studio album, released in October 1984 on Polydor. It arrived after a gap in the band's studio output that stretched back to Come Taste the Band in 1975, and it marked the return of the 'Mark II' line-up, the group associated with the records that came before that break.
Within the story of that reunited line-up, this was the most successful album they recorded together. For anyone who knows the band mainly through their 1970s work, it is the place to hear how that classic combination sounded when it came back together in the mid-1980s, still firmly rooted in hard rock.
