In Concert
In Concert is a live album from Deep Purple, released in 1980 on Harvest. It draws on recordings made by the BBC for its In Concert radio series, with material taken from two separate occasions, 1970 and 1972.
Those dates place the music in the band's early 1970s run, the period around Deep Purple in Rock and Machine Head, rather than the 1980s in which the album appeared. For fans of the band's hard rock sound, it offers a chance to hear them in a broadcast setting from those years. A US edition followed in 2001.
