Infinite
Infinite is Deep Purple's twentieth studio album, released on 7 April 2017 on earMUSIC. It is a straight-ahead hard rock record from a band that had by then been making albums for almost fifty years, and it sits in a late-career run that began with Now What?! in 2013 and carried on with Whoosh! in 2020.
For anyone who grew up with the band's classic run, from Deep Purple in Rock and Machine Head through to the reunion record Perfect Strangers, it is a chance to hear how that heritage sounds in the 2010s. It makes a natural companion to Now What?!, and it rewards listeners who like to follow a long-running band beyond the famous albums of the 1970s and 1980s.
