EP
Smoke on the Water
Smoke on the Water is an EP from Deep Purple, released by EMI in 1993. It takes its name from the band's best-known song, which first appeared on Machine Head in 1972.
It arrived in the same year as The Battle Rages On…, the band's studio album of 1993, and sits alongside that record in the story of their early-nineties output. Fans who already know the 1970s run from Deep Purple in Rock through to Machine Head may find it a handy reminder of how the group's classic material carried on into a later era.
