Bloody Kisses
Bloody Kisses is the third studio album by the American gothic metal band Type O Negative, released on Roadrunner Records on 17 August 1993. It followed Slow, Deep and Hard and The Origin of the Feces, and it was the last record made with the original line-up, as drummer Sal Abruscato left late that year to join Life of Agony.
This is the record that gave the band their best-known songs, "Christian Woman" and "Black No. 1 (Little Miss Scare-All)", and a devoted cult following with them. It also settled habits that would run through their later work: covers reshaped in their own style, interludes thick with samples, and lyrics with a dry, satirical streak. It became the first Roadrunner album certified Gold by the RIAA, in November 1995, and went Platinum in December 2000.
