The Origin of the Feces
The Origin of the Feces is the second studio album by Type O Negative, the American gothic metal band. It arrived in May 1992 on Roadracer Records, following their debut, Slow, Deep and Hard, from the year before.
It sits early in the band's catalogue, before Bloody Kisses in 1993 and October Rust in 1996 took them in other directions. Here the mix of doom, thrash and heavy metal is still at the front of the picture, so it is a useful stop for anyone tracing how the band's sound developed across the seven studio albums that followed on from their beginnings.
