Invisible Lantern
Invisible Lantern is the third studio album by Screaming Trees, released on 12 May 1988 through SST Records. It arrived after Clairvoyance in 1986 and Even If and Especially When in 1987, so the band were working at a steady clip at this stage, putting out a record almost every year.
The album sits in the rock and psychedelic rock camp, and it's a useful marker of where the group stood before Buzz Factory followed in 1989 and the later records Uncle Anesthesia and Sweet Oblivion brought them further along. If you want to hear the band in their SST years, before the early nineties arrived, this is a good place to start.
