The Abbey Road E.P. is a five-track release from Red Hot Chili Peppers, issued on 16 May 1988 to coincide with the band's UK tour that year. It was put together as a way of introducing British listeners to their back catalogue, and four of its songs had already appeared on their first three albums.

The one fresh piece is their cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Fire", recorded during the sessions for The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and previously heard in a different mix as the B-side to "Fight Like a Brave". It features original guitarist Hillel Slovak, who died of a heroin overdose in 1988, and it later reappeared on Mother's Milk as a tribute to him. That gives the EP a poignant place in the band's story, and every track also turned up on the compilation What Hits!?.
