Album
So Far, So Good… So What!
So Far, So Good… So What! is Megadeth's third studio album, released by Capitol Records on 19 January 1988. It follows Peace Sells… but Who's Buying? and comes before Rust in Peace, and it stands as the only record made with drummer Chuck Behler and guitarist Jeff Young. Both were out of the band in early 1989, a few months after the world tour ended.
The songs are fast and technically demanding, with Dave Mustaine writing about nuclear holocaust, freedom of speech and other subjects. Critics welcomed it on release, though later opinion has been cooler. It reached the top thirty of the Billboard 200 without any commercial radio play, charted in several other countries and eventually went platinum with the RIAA. It is worth hearing as the point where Megadeth began to climb out of the underground.
