Th1rt3en is Megadeth's thirteenth studio album, released through Roadrunner Records in October 2011. It follows Endgame, which came out two years earlier, and it marks the return of founding bassist David Ellefson, who had rejoined in 2010. It is his first Megadeth studio album since The World Needs a Hero in 2001.

The record was made in late spring 2011 and mixes fresh songs with reworked older material, some of which had surfaced before as demos or bonus tracks. "Sudden Death" began life as a Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock tie-in, while "Public Enemy No. 1", inspired by Al Capone, led the singles. It debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200, and critics were positive. All three singles earned Grammy nominations, which makes it a good pick for fans who like their thrash with a sense of history.
