Dystopia is Megadeth's fifteenth studio album, released on 22 January 2016. Dave Mustaine produced it with Chris Rakestraw, and the cover art is by Brent Elliot White. It arrived after the cool reception given to 2013's Super Collider, and it was a big moment for the line-up: guitarist Kiko Loureiro joined, Lamb of God's Chris Adler played drums for this record only, and it was the last album with bassist David Ellefson.

Critics largely took it as a return to form, and it entered the Billboard 200 at number three. The title track won the band its first Grammy, for Best Metal Performance, after eleven nominations that had come to nothing. For anyone who drifted away from Megadeth in the early 2010s, this is the record that makes a case for coming back.
