Lamb of God are a heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia, who began in 1994 as Burn the Priest before taking their current name. The line-up is vocalist Randy Blythe, bassist John Campbell, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, and drummer Art Cruz. Their sound sits across groove metal and metalcore, and they are often grouped with the new wave of American heavy metal. Some count them among the "Big Four of 2000s metal" alongside Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold and System of a Down.

Their first album as Lamb of God, New American Gospel, arrived in 2000, and Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament, the self-titled Lamb of God and Omens are the records listeners return to most. Wrath brought Grammy nominations in 2010 and 2011, and "512" earned another in 2016. They toured with Metallica from 2008 to 2010 and supported Slayer on that band's final world tour. Into Oblivion followed in March 2026.
