The Duke
The Duke is an EP from the American heavy metal band Lamb of God, released on 18 November 2016 through Nuclear Blast. It was made in memory of Wayne Ford, a fan and friend of the band who was diagnosed with leukaemia and died in February 2015.
Two new songs lead the way: "Culling" and the title track, which Ford directly inspired. The rest is live material from VII: Sturm und Drang, the band's 2015 album, recorded at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and Rock Am Ring. It arrived between that record and their self-titled album of 2020, and it's a small, heartfelt release rather than a full statement. The title track reached number 40 on the US Mainstream Rock chart, and the EP entered the Billboard 200 at number 85.
