Bonfire
Bonfire is a five-disc AC/DC box set, released on 18 November 1997 in the US and a day earlier in the UK and Europe. It was put together to mark what would have been the 50th birthday of Bon Scott, the band's original lead vocalist, who died in 1980 from alcohol-related misadventure. A remastered edition in Digipak format followed in 2003.
The set gathers the two-disc soundtrack to the film Let There Be Rock, a live recording made at the Atlantic Records studio in New York, and some previously unreleased early material. The fifth disc is a remastered Back in Black, the 1980 album the band made after Scott's death. For anyone who wants Scott's era in one place, with that album alongside it, it makes a fitting tribute.
