"Take My Scars" is a Machine Head single, issued as an EP on Roadrunner Records on 24 November 1997. The title track comes from the band's second album, The More Things Change…, which arrived the same year, and it is sung from the point of view of the Devil, a neat twist for a groove metal band that had already announced itself with Burn My Eyes in 1994.

The song kept a life beyond that record. It turned up on the band's live album Hellalive, and in 2000 it was used on the soundtrack to the film Faust: Love of the Damned, a fitting home for a song with such a diabolical narrator. For anyone tracing Machine Head's story between their debut and The Burning Red in 1999, it is a handy snapshot of where the band stood in the late 1990s.
