Who Cares a Lot? The Greatest Hits
Who Cares a Lot? The Greatest Hits is Faith No More's career retrospective, put together after the American band split in April 1998. The first disc gathers 15 singles from their Slash Records years in chronological order, taking in every studio album they made for the label between 1987 and 1997. The second disc turns to rarities: B-sides, demos, live recordings and a few unreleased songs, among them "The World Is Yours" and "I Won't Forget You".
It came out on CD and cassette on 24 November 1998, and a companion video collection followed in February 1999. It reached number 4 in Australia and went Platinum there, though it missed the US Billboard 200. For anyone wanting the band's shifting mix of funk metal, hard rock and alternative rock in one place, the single-disc run of hits does the job, and the second disc rewards the keen collector.
