Hungry for Stink
Hungry for Stink is the fourth studio album by L7, released on 12 July 1994 on Slash Records. It followed Bricks Are Heavy in 1992 and sits in the middle of the band's run of records, which stretches from their self-titled debut in 1988 to Scatter the Rats in 2019. In the US it reached number 117 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
The title came from an advert the band spotted in Bear Magazine, a publication for big hairy men, which tells you something about the band's sense of humour. Its best-known song may be "Fuel My Fire", which was built on the Cosmic Psychos track "Lost Cause". The Prodigy later covered it on their 1997 album The Fat of the Land. If you like your grunge with a punk edge and a grin, this is a record to seek out.
