Punk in Drublic
Punk in Drublic is the fifth studio album by the California punk band NOFX, released on 19 July 1994 through Epitaph. The title is a spoonerism of "Drunk in Public", which tells you most of what you need to know about the band's sense of humour. It followed White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean from 1992 and arrived in the middle of the skate punk and pop punk boom that Epitaph was helping to drive.
It also turned out to be the record that brought NOFX their widest audience. It reached number 12 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, and six years after release it became the band's only gold record in the United States, passing 500,000 copies. Worldwide it has sold over a million. Reviews have been positive, and fans and critics now regard it as a classic of the genre, which makes it the natural place to start if you've never heard the band.
