Heavy Petting Zoo
Heavy Petting Zoo is the sixth studio album by the American punk band NOFX, released in 1996. It arrived between Punk in Drublic and So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes, at a stage when the band's fast, melodic skate punk was reaching a wider audience. The LP edition goes by a different title, Eating Lamb, so collectors may find it under either name.
It was the first NOFX album to reach the American Billboard 200, where it got to No. 63. It also did well in Europe, peaking at No. 20 in Austria and No. 13 in both Sweden and Finland. For anyone tracing how the band moved from the underground towards the mainstream's edge, it is a useful record to hear.
