NO F‐X

NOFX's self-titled debut EP came out on 1 January 1985 through Mystic Records. It was recorded at Mystic Studios in Hollywood, with Phillip "Philco" Raves handling both recording and production. It is a hardcore punk release from a band that would not put out its first full-length album until Liberal Animation in 1988.

The pressing history is part of the fun for collectors. The first 500 copies came with a lyrics sheet, the next 500 were on light-blue vinyl, and the rest were on black. The whole EP also appeared on Maximum Rocknroll. "Six Pack Girls" later turned up on the VHS Ten Years of Fuckin' Up, playing over a montage of early photos of the band, which says plenty about where this record sits in their story.
