Fuck the Kids

Fuck the Kids is a 7-inch EP from NOFX, released on Fat Wreck Chords on 26 August 1996. It arrived in the same year as their album Heavy Petting Zoo, and it is about as loose as a record from this band gets. Everything was recorded in a single day, in roughly four hours. Fat Mike had written all the songs, but the rest of the band hadn't heard them. He taught each one in turn, they played it through, and the first take to survive to the end was the one that stayed.

Mike has described the result as sloppiness in its purest form, the kind you can't fake. The sleeve takes a swipe at the Dutch band Boycot, and the insert rails against punk selling out. The first 500 copies came on clear-green vinyl, and the EP has sold 35,000 copies. It later turned up on 45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records, minus "Stupid Canadians".
