The Thrill of It All
The Thrill of It All is the fourth studio album by English hard rock band Thunder, released on 1 September 1996. It arrived after Back Street Symphony, Laughing on Judgement Day and Behind Closed Doors, and it was recorded over April and May 1996 at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales. Guitarist Luke Morley produced it, and Rupert Coulson mixed it at Trident 2 in London.
It is very much Morley's record. He wrote the songs, with drummer Gary "Harry" James co-writing four, and he also played all the bass after Mikael Höglund stepped away for personal reasons and then left that summer. The album reached number 14 on the UK Albums Chart, while "Don't Wait Up" and "Love Worth Dying For" both made the top three of the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. Worth hearing for a band leaning on its chief songwriter.
