Shooting at the Sun is the sixth studio album by Thunder, the English hard rock band. It arrived in March 2003, after the group had split in May 2000 following Giving the Game Away. Two years on hiatus ended when they reunited for a Monsters of Rock tour in November 2002, and they went straight into Jacobs Studios in Farnham to record this one between October and December.

Guitarist Luke Morley produced it and wrote every song, with a single co-write on "The Man Inside" alongside Peter Shoulder of Winterville. The pair went on to form The Union in 2009. Rupert Coulson engineered and mixed the record. Lead single "Loser" reached number 3 on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart, and the band toured the UK twice in 2003 before playing European dates the following year. It's a record worth hearing as the sound of a band finding its feet again after a break.
