The Power to Believe
The Power to Believe is the thirteenth and final studio album by King Crimson, the English progressive rock band whose story began with In the Court of the Crimson King in 1969. It came out on 24 February 2003, following The ConstruKction of Light from 2000. A 2002 EP, Happy with What You Have to Be Happy With, had set the stage with alternate and previously unreleased tracks.
It is worth hearing as the closing chapter of a long and restless catalogue. Critics generally received it well, and several singled out its heightened aggression as a strength. If you know the band only through their 1970s records or the Discipline era, this is a fierce, forward-looking place to hear where the story ended up.
