Sleepless: The Concise King Crimson
Sleepless: The Concise King Crimson is a single-disc compilation from the English progressive rock band, released on 4 October 1993 on E'G. It boils down the four-disc box set Frame by Frame: The Essential King Crimson, which had appeared in 1991, into something far easier to fit into an afternoon.
It arrived between two chapters of the band's story. The 1980s run of Discipline, Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair was behind them, and THRAK was still two years away. For anyone wary of tackling a catalogue that stretches from In the Court of the Crimson King in 1969 onwards, it offers a compact way in, with the box set's wider sweep reduced to one disc.
