Live in Chicago
Live in Chicago is a live album by King Crimson, recorded at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Illinois on 28 June 2017, during the band's United States tour that year. It came out through Discipline Global Mobile on 14 October 2017, and it is also known as Official Bootleg: Live in Chicago, June 28, 2017.
It is the first full-length release from the eight-piece version of the band, so it works as a first look at that line-up on stage. The set mixes new songs with fresh arrangements of compositions mostly from the early 1970s, the era of albums such as Lizard, Islands and Larks' Tongues in Aspic. If you like hearing how a progressive rock band reworks its older material alongside new writing, this is a good place to start.
