Live at Jacksonville 1972
Live at Jacksonville 1972 is a concert recording from King Crimson, issued in 1998 through the band's Collector's Club series. It captures a show at the Baseball Park in Jacksonville, Florida, on 26 February 1972. Robert Fripp wrote the liner notes.
It comes from the period around Islands, the band's fourth studio album, released the previous year. Part of "Sailor's Tale" from this gig had already appeared on Earthbound, the live album from 1972, so this release lets listeners hear the wider performance rather than a single excerpt. For anyone who knows that record, or who wants to hear this early-seventies line of the band on stage, it is a useful companion.
