The Elements: 2014 Tour Box
The Elements: 2014 Tour Box is a compilation from King Crimson, released on Panegyric in 2014, with a UK and European release on 1 December that year. It sits in the band's later story, after Robert Fripp brought King Crimson back in 2013 as a touring septet with three drummers and Jakko Jakszyk on lead vocals.
It isn't a studio album, and it doesn't add to the run that began with In the Court of the Crimson King in 1969. Think of it instead as a companion to that last incarnation of the band, which spent seven years reworking material from across their whole catalogue on stage. If you caught that line-up live, or want a way into how Crimson sounded in their final years, this is a sensible place to start.
