Cat Food: 50th Anniversary Edition – EP
Cat Food: 50th Anniversary Edition is an EP from King Crimson, released on 6 March 2020 on the Panegyric label. It marks half a century since the band's early days, a period that produced In the Court of the Crimson King in 1969, followed by In the Wake of Poseidon and Lizard in 1970.
The release sits within a long career that runs from those first records through the 1970s run of Islands, Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Starless and Bible Black and Red. It continues through the 1980s albums Discipline, Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair, and on to THRAK, The ConstruKction of Light and The Power to Believe. For anyone tracing the band's story, it is a short way back to where it began.
