Music Is Our Friend: Live in Washington and Albany, 2021
Music Is Our Friend: Live in Washington and Albany, 2021 is a live album by the English progressive rock band King Crimson, released on 20 November 2021. It is an "official bootleg" documenting the band's final performance in North America, which took place in September that year.
The set closes with four songs from the "Friends And Family" show in Albany, New York, played in August before the tour began. The material spans King Crimson's whole career, so it works as a snapshot of the band's long history, from the days of In the Court of the Crimson King through to the later records. For anyone who wants to hear how the group sounded at the end of its North American touring life, it makes a fitting document.
