Mixed Up
Mixed Up is a remix album by the Cure, released on 20 November 1990 on Fiction. It gathers reworked versions of some of their best-known songs, mostly as extended mixes, in step with the dance culture and remixing craze of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Several had already appeared on 12" singles, while others were rebuilt from scratch, with Robert Smith recutting vocals because the original tapes weren't available.
It came straight after the heavy mood of Disintegration, and Smith described it as something fun after that doom and gloom. The record closes with the extended version of a new single, "Never Enough", and the singles drawn from it carried further new mixes on their B-sides, including "Let's Go to Bed" and "Just Like Heaven". A sequel, Torn Down, followed in 2018.
