Live From Paris
Live From Paris captures U2 at the Hippodrome de Vincennes in Paris on 4 July 1987, midway through the Joshua Tour of that year. It is a concert video and live album from the Irish rock band, recorded in the months when The Joshua Tree was taking them onto much bigger stages.
The film first appeared as the bonus DVD in the remastered box set of The Joshua Tree, issued on 20 November 2007. An audio version followed as a digital download, available only through the iTunes Store from 21 July 2008. It is a useful companion to the studio record, showing how those songs sounded in front of a crowd, and it is worth hearing for fans who want to place the album in its live setting.
