Korn's eighth studio album arrived on 31 July 2007 on Virgin, and it has no title at all. Jonathan Davis's thinking was that the fans might as well call it whatever they liked, so it is usually known simply as the untitled album. It follows See You on the Other Side from 2005 and sits just before Korn III: Remember Who You Are in the band's run of studio records.
It is also a one-off in their catalogue, the only Korn studio album made without an official drummer. David Silveria had left in 2006, and Ray Luzier would not join until late 2007, so Davis brought in Terry Bozzio and Brooks Wackerman to play as session musicians. That makes it a snapshot of a band between line-ups, and worth hearing for that reason alone. It went gold in the United States on 30 October 2007.
