See You on the Other Side
See You on the Other Side is Korn's seventh studio album, released on 6 December 2005 through Virgin. It arrived as the band's first record as a quartet, following the departure of founding guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. It also turned out to be the last to feature original drummer David Silveria, who left in December 2006.
This is the sound of a band willing to try new things. Korn experimented with different musical styles and worked with The Matrix, a team best known as pop producers, which was an unexpected pairing for a nu metal group. Reviews were generally positive, though the production and the songwriting drew some criticism. It was certified gold in the United States in January 2006 and platinum that March. For anyone following Korn's story, it's a revealing record from a period of real change.
